Mona your story is just beautiful. I'm deeply moved with his tribute and your infinite love for him.

In this turbulent world, the circle of life and the circle of love remain strong.

Breathing with you..........

So beautiful....Dean's ashes stay with me, and as I travel about to places we loved I leave parts of him. Eventually I will join what is left of his ashes and a friend will take us to Prescott Valley to be beside his parents - or maybe Hawaii and scatter off the shore of Lahaina. What's left of Dean's family is appalled with no funeral no grave - none of which Dean wanted - so I haven't had the good-bye you had. It's okay, I didn't want what he didn't want. And I'm not in the mood to put a grave marker there so my brother-in-law's wife can add everything to her genealogy of both sides of her family. Dean's ancestors settled this area in the late 1600, and here in Vermont parts of him will always remain. Thinking of you....

He was such a great presence in my life and one of the most loving, kind and intelligent men I have ever known. He always told those he loved how he felt about them, me included. He was a huge part of my life just as you are and the great memories I have of him always make me smile and remind me of how much I love him. You wrote a beautiful tribute to him and his love for his family and friends and for the Keweenaw.

OMG….what an incredible story. Few people have ties to a “homeland” area like your family. I always wished we’d spent our summers at a lake. I know Ed would be so proud of you for all the work you did to make his final resting place special. You are such a wonderful person. I love the pictures of your mom/grandmother & the skis, the Finnish heritage and the secret watering hole. You are so blessed. And now I’m blessed for knowing you. ❤️
